London Restaurant Guide
After spending 3 weeks in the heart of London this summer, returning to my favorite city and the one I call home, here is my curated guide of fabulous spots for every type of meal or drink you might fancy.
Pubs: lets go grab a drink with friends and have a laugh
The Marylebone
An upscale pub right on Marylebone High Street, making it the perfect place to grab drinks with friends after doing some shopping.
The Glassblower
A traditional pub with a cute exterior situated right off of Regent street. It’s cobblestone road is filled with several other pubs, encouraging people to hang out with their friends outside after getting off of work, especially on a Friday evening.
The Prince
An untraditional pub right on the edge of Earls Court is a super fun place to go catch a football match, bonus points if you are watching during Euros. This rather large pub features indoor outdoor seating, lively music, lots of greenery, and several enormous screens for state of the art viewing.
Casual lunch and dinners: for a relaxed bite that is always delicious
Delamina
A small and cozy restaurant serving health conscious eastern mediterranean food. Light fills this bohemian style restaurant run by a husband and wife, complete with an airy light wood and olive green interior. This is a great place to share some tapas with friends or cute date.
Ottolenghi
Forever my ride or die lunch spot. This small take out style shop changes their menu weekly and has freshly made salads, protein, and delicious pastries. They have several locations around London, and this food is perfect to grab on your lunch break, or to bring on a picnic in Hyde park.
Granger & Co.
With several locations scattered around the heart of London, Granger is my go to brunch option. This modern healthy place sits in the sweet spot between a cafe and restaurant, sporting a menu perfect for a quick midday bite. My favorite location is in Notting Hill, ideal for grabbing lunch on a sunny day before heading over to Portobello Market.
Upscale: for a fun dinner or date night
Coya
One of my favorite new finds in Mayfair, Coya is perfect for a funky date night or late dinner with the girls. The restaurant transports you into a rainforest with Persian style decor and dark colored walls. The DJ makes sure the music is fabulous and the sea bass is a must order.
Sketch
A trendy dinner club with several eclectic rooms, my favorite being the Glade. This bar is an ideal spot to have a drink before dinner and take in the impressive design. The ambiance is quiet, cool and romantic.
Sushi Samba
Sushi Samba is made for a lively dinner with the girls. Situated on a massive rooftop in Covent Garden, it's the perfect place to catch up over some sushi and take in the happening scene. Checkered floors, hints of orange, and lots of greenery make Sushi Samba not only a place with delicious food, but an ambiance you’ll want to enjoy.
